ABOUT

Hello and welcome! My name is Apiseh and like you, I am human. I was born in the 1980s in New York, USA and raised in Cameroon. I grew up with the pressures, trauma and generational strongholds that held me bound and stifled my very nature.

Although I had several creative gifts, I was discouraged from using them in one way or the other. I felt like my life was meaningless. I had many questions regarding life as I knew it. Questions about myself, my gifts and creativity, education, culture and tradition, social/cultural norms, treatment of women and children, social status quo, religion and beliefs, tribalism and racism.

I did the best I could to live and walk a Christian path, but my views of God and myself were poor.  Not only did I doubt myself but; I lived within the confines of “boxes” and "labels", did not use my gifts as I should have and had a hard time finishing things. My self-esteem was low, and I always focused on how people treated me or what they had to say about me. Sadly dwelling more on the negatives than on the positives. I Spent too much time trying to convince people I was good and worthy. - Pointless!

After much support and prayer, I experienced significant breakthroughs. I had to learn and unlearn a lot about myself and life (still learning). I had to begin intentionally renewing my mind in Christ. Romans 12:2 says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."  I have found that the more I walk this journey to a renewed mind, the better life has gotten for me. I am finally getting answers (and some solutions) to the questions I had.

So, what is it that drives you?

For me, it is my journey to living unhinged, unhooked, and without fear of people. A journey with God to a renewed mind. Seeking to know him in a more personal way. Choosing to see myself the way he does. Choosing to go against the grain and live without those boxes and labels. Renew and Inspire is where I share about things which interest me.
